Some more lab work.

Here are a few more pics of my lab work.  We are about to finish our restorative set for the year and move to Crown and Bridge.  I am kind of looking forward to the change of pace, but I am also feeling like I am getting pretty good at the preps we were working on, so now I will have to learn another new skill set for the crown and bridge stuff.  Any way, here are some pics of the typodont we use to simulate the mouth while we work on the plastic teeth.  The preps I have done here are much smaller Class III preps for a composite resin filling and one Class II composite. (AKA Tooth color filling) They aren't filled yet, I will be doign that in the next few days.  I will try and get some more pictures of that too.

Enjoy.

Poconos

Some of you may know that we went to the Poconos over spring break.  We had a good time up there with Craig, Christina, Carter and Stephanie.  They are friends from the ward that came up with us.  Craig and Christina have the baby boy (Isaac), and Carter and Stephanie have the girl (Reese) with another on the way soon.  More than anything we just relaxed and hung out.  We played some card games and even got to go bowling and swimming.  We stayed up at a cabin that belongs to a friend of a guy that Ashley teaches tennis to.  We were originally going to stay at that guy's place, but it was booked up so he just called a buddy of his to see if we could use their house instead.  He is a really nice guy for going to all that trouble. Then to top it off, Ashley talked to him Saturday night when we were out to eat.  He asked her who was working the bar that night at the restaurant we went to.  After Ashley and he got off the phone, about 3 minutes later that waitress came over and told us that our bill was "all taken care of".  Bill (the guy Asdh teaches) had called in and put our dinner on his tab there at the grill.  Pretty cool huh.  Bill is a pretty well off guy and EVERYONE up there knows who he is.  So all in all it was a really fun trip.

Something we noticed.

So lately as the weather has gotten a little warmer, Ashley and I noticed something interesting here in the neighborhoods.  Typically on any given friday or saturday night you can't drive throught the neighborhoods with out spotting some wild packs of roaming.....teenagers.  Yes, I said teenagers.  They are always out roaming the neighborhoods in groups.  Usually 4-5 but sometimes more.  Guys and girls alike.  It is the weirdest thing to Ashley and I becuase we never have noticed it anywhere else.  One night we saw 4 different packs out and about.  I don't know if it is that there is less to do around here than a place like Salt Lake or what, but they don't seem to be doing much of anything other than wandering.  I don't think they are out causing trouble either.  They are just normal looking suburban kids.  Maybe their parents got sick of them all hanging around the house and so they have all been ejected out into the streets.  We just thought it was interesting, and we wanted to share.
